• The first generation Apple TV had internal storage that could be used to store your media library. the current generation (the little black one) does not. it simply connects to the library you have on your mac or pc and allows you to play that media on your home theater system.

• No. The new Apple TV has no local storage, but if you want to store movies and such on it, buy the old model. It has a built in hd.

• Neither, you streamm all media including photos from your computer. It has minor memory but it is for the OS and other necessities.
