• No, this will only work from a usb-c connection which is not on an IPAD air. It would be on a laptop type device or desktop device.

• No, this product has a USB-C male connection which at this time is only appropriate for newer MacBook Pros. For the iPad Air 2 you need the version of this made for a Lightning connector.
