Yes, this product will track your run even without the phone nearby.

Yes, the GPS allows it to track your runs without your phone. You can also download music directly to it so there’s really no need to bring your phone along on runs any longer (as long as you have Bluetooth headphones). It’s great not having to hold, or use a carrier for the phone - especially as they’re getting larger / heavier

Unless you purchase the gps+cellular, no. You have to have your phone with you.
