• A:Answer You can Bluetooth it to your phone without activating cell service and it will work as long as your phone is nearby. If you want to leave your phone at home and still text/call while on the go, you would need to activate the cell service. Hope this helps - I love being able to stay connected without having my phone on me all the time :)
