Had 42mm size will 40 work? null

My guess is that if you were able to see the screen on the 42mm you’d be fine. I swapped out my wife’s 38 with the 40 and it size wise is about the same. It is smaller than the 42 that I have but the display size is almost the same so you’ll probably be fine.

If you are asking, will the 40 suffice, probably. The new 40mm screen view is either the same size or larger than the old 42mm screen. The series 4 are supposed to be 30% larger view since they are using more of the screen. I just activated the series 4 40mm GPS & Cellular (love it!!) and I can tell that is much larger than my series 3 38mm.. The watch bands fit on all the series (1-4) but if you have the type of bands that include a bumper guard built in, those will not fit the new series 4, it’s just a tad larger than the previous series 1-3.
