Hi Kiki! The materials, aluminum and stainless steel, have two different hardness ratings. The stainless is more difficult to work than aluminum during manufacture (higher cost). The aluminum case might dent or deform more easily than the stainless steel; the aluminum will not have as shiny a finish in silver. If you have allergies, some folks are allergic to the nickle in stainless steel and might not react to the aluminum. But the reverse can also be true. All that being said, the difference between aluminum and stainless may be minimal if you aren't looking for the shine and aren't a gorilla with your watch.. LOL.
