• In wearing the Watch for one month, I haven’t had a problem at all. It withstands water sprinkled on for when I wash the dishes and is durable for exercise and gardening.

• I'd say it's fairly durable, I got a otterbox wrap around case for it. The most premium model has the sapphire screen on it is supposedly more scratch resistant than the base model, the one in stainless if I'm not mistaken. I wear mine daily doing a mix of tech an construction working around a data center an I haven't had any problems with scratches when using a otterbox case on it.
