• No, Apple care does not cover the charger of a computer. It can only be used if you accidentally dropped your computer, spilled a liquid, doesn’t turn on etc.

• Yes, the charger and cable is covered under Apple Care. This is the case provided there was no abuse of the components. I visited a series of Apple forums to learn this. Cheers.
