    Worth the extra money

Love Apple Care, in the past I have waived it because I did not want to pay the extra $200 something dollars but I don’t have the best luck with computers, thus I decided to purchase Apple Care for my second MacBook. About one year in I accidentally chipped the side of my screen, I took it to Apple last week and they charged me $99 to replace the whole display. The receipt given to me specified that without Apple care my total would have been $697.00 as with Apple care I was only charged the $99 service fee. I went in on a Friday evening and my computer was ready that following Tuesday! I got my Apple care worths and I’m still insured for another year or so. Extremely happy I purchased Apple care.

Please purchase Applecare for your own sake

I used to work at an electronics store and I cannot tell you how many times I saw customers come in with broken apple products, whether it was from their own neglect or some unforseen force, and it was painful to have to tell them how expensive it would be to repair or that there was nothing I could do for them if it had water damage. If they had only purchased applecare then it would either cost them nothing if it was not from their own neglect or just a little bit even if it was. People always think it is too expensive, but stop and think how expensive the product you are purchasing is and how much it would cost to repair. I'm telling you, it is DEFINITELY worth the extra money. I've seen too many people that I couldn't help because they didn't have Applecare so for your own sake please get applecare.

Another MacBook Pro for the record books! This M1 machine is not only lightning fast but runs many applications (including Windows via Parallels) effortlessly even with only 8gb of RAM. It's extremely lightweight given what's packed in to the laptop. The "fanless" cooling system worries me a little bit as it can heat up quite a bit when in use, but I understand this is normal. My only complaint is the fact that (natively) only two external displays are currently supported for M1 Macs. This will hopefully change over time as when I use this machine docked, I would like to have the ability to run all three of my larger screens natively. A great upgrade from my '17 MacBook Pro and a welcomed addition to my Apple Family.

A Necessary Evil For Big Apple Devices

While Macs are already so expensive and adding on a hefty-priced protection plan seems too costly, I think it's ultimately worth it based on my past experiences with Apple repairs. My first MacBook had a long AppleCare plan and I'm glad I bought it because it covered me when the rubber bottom fell off, when the hard drive unexpectedly died, and when my charging port stopped functioning. All of those things were covered and I didn't even have to pay a service fee after visiting the genius bar. I didn't buy AppleCare for my iPad because I thought to myself, "I've never broken a screen on anything before and it's going to be in a protective case!" and lo and behold, I pull my ipad out of my work bag one day and the screen is shattered. Because I didn't have AppleCare, the genius bar was going to charge more than what I bought the (brand new!) iPad for. I contemplated just buying a whole new iPad at that point! So I believe it's worth it to get AppleCare on big things that are going to be costly to repair without it. Just make sure to read the fine details of what is or isn't covered in your plan before buying, because they've changed their coverages in the past few years. It's definitely not what it was ten years ago, but it should still save you some hardship if something catastrophic happens to your protected device.

    AppleCare - Well Worth It

I have purchased and I continue to purchase Apple products from the early iPods and iPhones to several computers including MacBooks and iMacs. And I always include AppleCare as part of my purchase. I cannot list all the times this extended warranty has paid for itself. My daughter iPhone fell into a puddle while she was jogging. AppleCare replaced it. My son’s MacBook Pro had a processor fault that could not be remedied. AppleCare replaced the computer’s motherboard. My iMac experienced a hard disk drive failure. AppleCare covered it. What I also love is the quality of US-based product support I get from Apple over the phone. When I have a problem I can always reach an advisor and the folks who answer my call are usually able to fix it, right on the spot. How often do people get that kind of customer service experience? So for me, the bottom line - AppleCare is definitely worth it. So get it!

    Great Apple Care Service

I recently purchased a MacBook Pro. After about a week I started getting ads saying my Mac had a virus. The ad had the Apple Care logo so I thought it was legitimate. When I tried to fix it, it said I had to install a flash player, a clean sweep app, and it wound up being a fake ad trying to get you to pay for virus protection which I already have. When the ad was popping up every few seconds I called the Apple Care number and the tech I spoke to walked me through on how to fix it and gave me much needed info. Hold time was about one minute. My problem was solved in less than ten. GREAT SERVICE, and my Mac has had no more problems.

Apple Care offer a piece of mind

When I went to purchase my daughter's macbook pro the sales associates told me it would be a good idea to purchase the Apple care which provides a piece of mind just in case you have to repair any parts on the computer or accidentally cracked the screen. With the Apple care protection you can take it to any Best Buy or Apple store where they can anything on the computer internal or external that is not working properly. Another good feature that the Apple care has is that you don't have to register your device anymore it will automatically be updated in their system through the serial numbers of the device.

Apple makes great products and it is very unluckily that you will have hardware issues with any of there products, but for the cost to fix or replace them if in the unlikely event that something does happen, apple care is a great investment. Not only will they fix the issue or replace if they can't they have great tech support to help you through any issues that you may be having.

I think the value is well worth it for this purchase, especially for the price of the computer I bought it to cover. This is my third MacBook and although they last years things do come up (I have held on to mine from 5-7 years and I’m not exactly gentle, my 5 year old computer still works great). When a part goes and can be quite expensive to fix and these things do happen within a 3 year period and are almost always more than the price of the care. Definitely worth it for peace of mind!

AppleCare+ is super. They will spend hours helping you identify and then correct a program. Many times it is late at night and yet I have gotten the max respect and help. This is one protection that beats every other one I have ever used. They walked me through the setup for my new MAC. When it didn't work, they told me how to duplicate my other MAC to this one so now I am able to use the new one with the old one as a backup. And they talk to each others.

Have had and used Apple care on past items. As a service they have been the most responsive, prompt, and professional people I have ever dealt with. Crack a screen and get it replaced for 100. I had a keyboard failure, submitted to Apple Care at the Apple store. Had my repaired Macbook back in 4 days along with the screen being replaced for a scratch. I never mentioned the screen as the scratch didn't bother me. They really go the extra mile to take care of you

I have never had the need to use AppleCare+ for my Mac. But I have used it for my iPhone. Is as simple as reaching Apple, provide you contact information and bomb! They get on it. Im sure if I have to use it for my Mac it will be as simple as that.

I used to be against warranties, but since having coverage on a phone that completely bit the dust and having the Apple coverage I am a believer. I have it on all of my products and my MacBook already had to be taken into an Apple store and I was back out repaired without issue. Having kids around and the randomness that occurs it’s amazing how quickly things can go crack. However, having piece of mind for a few more years is well worth it.

Having purchased this for all previously owned Macs, I have found it well worth the price. It is a bit spendy given it's on top of an already pricy computer but the cost to fix MacBook is expensive too. For example just had the battery replaced on my 2018 MacBook Pro which required a new top (the part that includes the keyboard). This along with the battery would have cost $300+, my cost with AppleCare was $0.

Apple absolutely takes care of you. About 11 years ago I had a problem. I had a hard drive they completely failed and called them up. Spoke with a real person in California within two minutes. Did the little five minute diagnostics. Told me they had to ship my computer in I had the shipment box at my front door by the time I got off work. And have the computer back within three days.
