- Answer You can connect your Arlo Essential wire-free camera to a VMB5000, VMB4540, VMB4500, or VMB4000 SmartHub or base station. You can stream up to a theoretical maximum of 15 Arlo cameras at the same time, but this is dependent on your system set up and your Arlo Smart plan. Additionally, you might not be able to stream from all five cameras per SmartHub or base station if your WiFi network has limited bandwidth or if you are uploading other files while Arlo is streaming.

- Answer My understanding is Arlo is going out of business...a spin-off from Netgear. Best Buy sales was not helpful in telling me whether or not this was a good system for me. I don't think the tech really knew whether or not it would work. It didn't. Apparently too many signals in this area, not a strong enough router (even though I can get on the internet in the front of the house on my cell phone and my laptop....out in the middle of the street) Arlo Spotlight Wireless was the purchase. Don't think you should rely on Best Buy to help you unless maybe you use one of their installers and they install it withing the 15 day return policy to make sure it works by then. I didn't use their installers because at the time I didn't know they did their own installers and I didn't find one that was familiar with this system soon enough to know one way or the other whether it would work. Had to take it back and only got store credit. Bummer.

- Answer The battery in your Essential wire-free camera is fully integrated and cannot be removed. You can recharge the Essential wire-free camera with the indoor charging cable that came in the package with the camera.

QuestionI have a wireless internet WiFi device thru at&t I want to put this camera in the barn too far away from the house to have WiFi in the house too. If I put the WiFi device out in the barn with the arlo I’d still be able to see on my phone what’s up?

QuestionWill these provide 24/7 recoding that allows me to go back and look at every minute it is plugged in. I have a nest cam right now and it allows me to go back through 24/7 for 30 days or does this just record what it pucks up

- Answer Yes it does! 4 swivel head mounting brackets like pictured. The batteries do not come out for charging. Seems they traded what was the essentially needed functions for not necessary nonsense. Lol. Hope this helps. Good luck. Don't give up. It is intricate when it comes to thr app.

- Answer They record motion only. Since they are battery operated you have to recharge them every 7 to 10 days according to how much motion it records I love my 3 cameras and highly recommend

QuestionCan you purchase different bases for the cameras. The one we have ,have a magnetic base the is shaped like a hill. It is not allowing us to turn the camera fully to see the entryway. We need a little further Movement for the right angle to see fully.

- Answer Yes, I added the Arlo Essential to already loaded app. If you are using a base station you may be limited to number of devices that can be added to station. The one I have is limited to how many cameras that can be on there (5)
