A:AnswerOur development team is still looking into this issue where the Arlo app is not available on Amazon devices. A:AnswerTo install Arlo Video Doorbell, users must have a wired doorbell and chime with existing electrical wiring, voltage between 16V AC and 24V AC, and a 10VA transformer.
A:AnswerYou sure can. But, I don't think you can do it in the settings menu. But, you could bypass the chime wiring or mechanically, depending on how it's constructed and what type of chime you have.
A:AnswerThe Arlo Video Doorbell cannot pair with a camera like the Audio Doorbell does. Cross-triggering is the same as existing wire-free cameras – motion/audio detection from the Video Doorbell can trigger other cameras to record. The Arlo Engineering team is working on implementing compatibility between the Arlo Video Doorbell and select Arlo Smart Hubs and base-stations. Stay tuned for more details as we prepare to release more details surrounding this upcoming support in the coming months.
A:AnswerBuy a plug in AC/AC adapter (transformer) output 18 vac from amazon and connect the unit with wires. Best to have an electrician to run the wires.
A:AnswerCustomers will always have the ability to receive instant alerts, live-stream video from their doorbell, receive a direct-to-mobile video call from a doorbell press, and play quick reply messages, even without a paid subscription plan. The Arlo Video Doorbell cannot pair with a camera like the Audio Doorbell does. This is because Video Doorbell has its own camera. Cross-triggering is the same as existing wire-free cameras – motion/audio detection from the Video Doorbell can trigger other cameras to record.
A:AnswerThe gauge of the wire running from the transformer to the doorbell may not be able to power the unit. Even with the correct specs on the transformer (16-24v), whoever installed the doorbell may have skimped on the actual wiring. That is why our Arlo video doorbell didn’t work. Would need to rewire the doorbell for the required current draw, basically bigger gauge wire.
