The do very well in the cold. I live in Anchorage Alaska, and 2 of my cameras are outdoors, and the battery life is doing well and we have had a few weeks of Neg 10F. 3 of my indoor cameras show FULL after 2 months, and the 2 outdoor are showing about 2/3 Full. As far as High Humidity I don't know for sure, the humidity here says at about 70%.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'm not sure about low temperatures but here in central CA I had two cameras outside in 90-100+ temperatures and they did lower the life of the batteries. I got about 2 months out the batteries being outside in the heat everyday and doing quite a bit of recording. If you aren't recording as much your batteries should last quite a bit longer.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Have had since Christmas and the camera outside needs new batteries as they are drained by the cold. All other cameras in the house are just fine. South west Michigan winter
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.it was warm when we bought these cameras here in Staten Island NY, the battery life was still poor as it is now while it's just getting colder. The last batteries we bought were cold weather ones from Lowes.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Works fine in 90 degree temps, winters coming, so I'm just as curious about the cold weather too. As for rechargeable batteries, you could buy your own, but they will never last as long as disposable. A solar recharging system sounds good, but what about if they are indoor or just not in direct sunlight. Good ideas though.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We purchased these cameras for my son for Christmas. He lives in Wasilla, AK and has them set up for motion detection. He will also occasionally look at the live stream. All cameras are outside but next to the house. 2 of the 3 cameras are still on original batteries but getting low. The one camera that is by the toys (we are out there a lot playing) just went dead after 6.5 months. We did not have a really cold winter but it still hovered around 0 for a period of time.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I used mine through the winter of 2015/2016 in New Hampshire and managed about four months of battery life. It wasn't a brutal winter, but I was impressed that the batteries didn't die quickly during the below zero days. I have heard of people using rechargeable batteries, but I suspect they would have a shorter life, so you'd need to attend to them more often. I just use the CR123 lithium batteries.
