QuestionAre these Battery powered?Are these Battery powered? If so what is the expected battery life.

- Answer They come with 3.0V CR123A High Power Lithium Batteries. Mine lasted about 1 to 3 months depending on the camera settings. The cameras can be set up with different sensitivity for recognising movement. I had an issue with a wasp setting mine off frequently.

Questionbattery life in Winter MinnesotaHas anyone used these in Minnesota or like Winter climates Negative degrees Fahrenheit in January & in July 90's with High Humidity Just wondering Battery life & Outdoor operation in Freezing Winter climates, why They don't make these rechargeable & an optional Solar Charger Is to be known but would Double if Not Triple battery life I'D assume

- Answer The do very well in the cold. I live in Anchorage Alaska, and 2 of my cameras are outdoors, and the battery life is doing well and we have had a few weeks of Neg 10F. 3 of my indoor cameras show FULL after 2 months, and the 2 outdoor are showing about 2/3 Full. As far as High Humidity I don't know for sure, the humidity here says at about 70%.

QuestionI want to use one of the external units on a second home that is 75 miles away and has Comcast Wifi. I am concerned about what seems to be less than secure mounting as well due to distance battery life and if I can view the recording while at my home.

- Answer the camera is linked to a base station. You may want to check if the same base station would work. It is possible you might need another base station given the distance

- Answer I bought this camera, it is compatible with Arlo Pro Base. But, I exchanged it for another Arlo Pro as an add on camera, because the picture quality just wasn't good enough.
