It only records when it detects motion but you can watch what’s going on in real time using the app.

yes if you use the basic install and battery only. But you can hook up electric wiring to them and they can continuous record if you choose. They can record to USB stick or cloud server - but you have to pay for the continuous recording on the cloud server I believe.

But the cameras will only record if they detect motion. Also, if the camera is running on battery, there is a slight delay between when the camera detects motion and when the recording starts, but the recording will start when the motion is detected if the camera is plugged into an electrical outlet.
