- Answer You need wired internet connected to the Arlo Base station. The Arlo base station then transmits a WiFi signal to the cameras. So, no you don't need WiFi but yoy do need internet at the Arlo Base Station.

- Answer You can add only arlo, arlo pro or arlo pro 2 cameras if you have an arlo pro. Up to 20 cameras. Only 5 are free. I run 8 cameras and 4 motion sensors.

- Answer My understanding is you can add more but my suggestion is buying a package with 8 cameras if that is what you want. Buying cameras separately is more expensive. I was told Arlo requires a service plan to be purchased if you have more than 5 cameras.

- Answer You can adjust the sensitivity of the motion detected by the cameras and the motion lights. There is even a test mode to help with the sensitivity settings.

- Answer Yes, the camera or kit you purchase will have the mounts in the package or you can use it just by setting it on a flat level surface aimed towards the window or door you want to monitor.

- Answer May want to adjust the camera. Only picks up motion about 20ft out. Or go to mode and make sure it’s armed and not disarmed.

- Answer You can monitor from anywhere in the world; the hub connects via ethernet to your home internet, and sends the video feeds over the internet to wherever you're viewing.

QuestionHow far away can the motion be from the camera to pick it up and record? I have a cheap one in my house facing out the window. I have worked in my backyard and it did not pick anything up at all. I need something that can pick up at some distance.

- Answer I like the camera, I am not happy at how far the motion sensor reaches. In the photo below, the sensor reaches just about to the flower bed. If I manually play the video, I can see to the trees BUT it will not pick up motion. The distance from deck to flowers is about 12-15 yards
