QuestionHow does the system store video? Is it in the cloud? Most of these systems try to make you purchase a cloud service. Is this the same or independent?

- Answer I believe it stores 7 days in the cloud for free. Longer, you need to purchase their Arlo service. I did not want to pay for a service, so I attached an external hard drive to the base unit and it will store all videos until the drive is full. Once filled, it will write over older videos. I have a 2TB drive so it will hold a lot. You have to make sure that you format the external hard drive to FAT32 or it won't work.

QuestionDoes the base station have the audio alarm option?

- Answer Yes, but the alarm doesnt sound through the camera. It sounds through the base station which is kind of useless if you catch someone on your property. They probably wont be able to hear it unless they have already made their way inside.

- Answer Yes it does come with batteries for the cameras and doorbell. And the charger. The doorbell batteries are not rechargeable, but you can always buy rechargeable ones later.
