• You'll need to download the Arlo app. The camera must be connected through home wifi and your smartphone must be connected via cellular or wifi.

• You will need a wifi connection for the cameras to work properly. It is a good idea to have a strong connection to fully utilize the capabilities of the cameras.

• Yes this uses a Wi-Fi network. If you do not have a strong Wi-Fi signal it may not work. This works with an iPhone or Android, I don't know about any other phone.

• Yes. You need the router that comes with the arlo system. It will not work without the router. You must have wifi for it to go thru router into your smartphone
