A:Answer Sadly I returned the Surfboard which I believe was a different model. A Comcast agent had recommended the Arris as an alternative to renting a modem-router from them. The box that it came in also said Xfinity compatible. However six phone calls, three each to Xfinity and Arris I could not get the Arris to work correctly so I decided half-hardheartedly to reinstall the Xfinity rental. Frustrating experience and the tech support at Arris varied from mediocre to excellent (I would call between 8-5). For the record, Xfinity's support was about the same.
