“Does this work with Att Uverse. The unit I have is very slow when more than one device using wifi. Using face time is horrible it keeps freezing or losing connection.”

NO!!! This is a cable modem and only works with cable companies. AT&T UVERSE has proprietary modems Basically with UVERSE you have old DSL technology that comes from your phone lines and is switched to coax cable at a box on the side of your house . The copper phone lines are very unstable and there is a lot of noise/interference so your speeds will be slow 30Mb or slower and it is shared with your TV service.
