• This is a 2-in-1 combo device (has a cable modem and an inbuilt Wi-Fi router). You can connect your computer either wired or wireless to the SBG8300 device

• It has both. The Yarris has 4 Ethernet connections on the back of the unit as well as wi-fi connectivity. The wi-fi has both 2.4 & 5 GHz bands; 5 GHz has a faster transfer rate, but doesn't reach out as far as the 2.4 GHz. I use both types of connections in my home network. If you have a wi-fi printer, make sure any wi-fi computers are on the same band when you want to print.
