“I was told by an xfinity tech the 8300 is no longer compatible with them. Is that true ? She said that's why after 3 hrs dealing with 3 different techs I couldn't get it activated.”

so i had a problem with this modem, there is apparently a design flaw with some of these modems that the processor is defective. there is an ongoing classaction in california for other modems by the manufacturer, so cable companies may be stopping support.
