Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't have Cox Cable, but I just signed up for Comcast cable internet and it works fine. I bought it for the same reason as I did not want to pay to lease one from Comcast. The device is a router/modem all in one so no extra device is needed. Wifi coverage seems adequate and it has 4 ethernet ports in case you want to hard wire in instead of WiFi.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes it does work with cox cable. I actually bought it to avoid paying the monthly fees and couldn't be better now!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I bought this modem because I didn't want to lease the modem from Cox and pay +$7.00 a month. Yes it does work for Cox. All you need is the modem and that's all. It's a great modem! Good luck.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you're trying to avoid the rental fee for *Insert Cable Company Here that begins with a 'C'* which is outrageous, then yes. I'd recommend purchasing this router. What you're paying for with said company is a modem. And I learned my lesson the hard way. They charged me 6 dollars a month for over 5 years. I lost sooo much money. So yeah, to answer your question, this supports a coax cable, a telephone line, as well as 4 ethernet cables. Don't rent, start using your own.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes this wireless router and modem combo works great with Cox. The Cox install tech told me they actually recommend Motorola as their preferred modem.
