This will work as long as your cable company is supported. This is just the gateway into your network.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.First make sure this modem is supported by your cable modem. A cable modem is a bridge between the cable internet to ethernet. It shouldn't matter what internal router you have. It just passes the IP address to interface with cable network. I have a TP-Link router powered by google. I added the three pack and it was able to mesh. Unless you hardware, you can't extend wifi with a non google powered router. support.google.com/wifi/answer/7168315?hl=en-GB You would have to connect one of the google wifi APs to the router and then mesh off of it, which is wasting an AP. If you can't hardwire, I would ditch the Tp-link and just use the google wifi routers. This is from my experience and research. I put the google wifi that I am talking about in the link, so you can compare. I think it is the same ones.
