3GB is the windows OS and preinstalled drivers. 10 GB is reserved for a recovery partition. If you find your computer os inoperable, you can use it to reset it to factory condition. You can NOT remove the partition, unlike some dell tablets. You will have to first create a recovery USB drive, then boot with the drive and select reset to factory condition (back up your files). Select resize recovery partition and you can get about 3.xGB back, that's about all you can do. Once you run more programs and sleep the machine, swap files will take over another 3.X GB, making the saving evaporate.Don't think about install all the programs you want. Use it as a second machine on the go. Use cloud drives to store stuff and only choose files you absolutely need to store on C and shove everything else to sd card.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yeah I noticed this as well when I turned it on and checked the hardware. I can understand 20-something left over out of 32, but 18? That should be noted somewhere on the page instead of advertising it as 32gb. False advertisement in my opinion. If you can't USE 32gb of storage, then don't advertise it like you can.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Out of the 32 some of it is used up by the operating system.
