No and I was told by geek squad person that it would be best to keep it as is. I attempted to load Windows 10 and the notebook stopped working and is now back at manufacturer for repair since it was only 3 weeks old.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, I bought this laptop expecting to use Windows 8. Then I got a notification saying if I wanted to upgrade to Windows 10. It took a while to upgrade. I used a flash drive to upgrade it. There would be a pop up box saying there is no space and to use disk clean up or choose another drive. Just get a micro sd card or a flash drive. And there has to be at least 10gb of free space. Hope this helped.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, it is possible. The same thing happened to me, however it appears you must hook up some sort of external drive. I think it does that in case you want to go back to Windows 8.1 before a month, so it saves an image of the computer to restore. Make sure your external drive/sd/flash drive has at least 10gb free
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I agree this is a pain due to the small drive, but you can use the micro SD slot for the extra space needed to upgrade. It's a simple process because you are guided along. Warning: The upgrade takes a LONG time. Repeat LONG time. Be patient. I wasn't patient on my first attempt. I thought it was locked-up because it seemed "stuck" at 21%, so I did a hard reboot. Bad move because I had to reinstall 8.1 and start over. I was bummed. The second time around I let it run its course and all worked well.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can upgrade it into Win 10, just make your own Win 10 installer USB drive. Then start upgrade from your Win 8.1, just open your USB drive and run setup file. Remember you want to create media for a different PC, select Create installation media for another PC. Choose the edition of Windows 10 that you want to create media for. That's it ! here is the link from microsoft - http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-10/media-creation-tool-install
