“Is it a true laptop where I can install programs? I mean programs and not apps. I recently purchased the chromebook which is advertised as a laptop, but I cannot install programs on it. The word processor is Google Docs which you can't print, can't save on a flash drive and my daughter can't email her assignments to her teacher (which is why it was purchased!) I need a genuine laptop where I'm the administrator and I can install programs.”

Yes it is a full OS 8.1 and you can install PC programs plus you can use Windows apps on it also.
