Excessive heat will have a negative affect on any unit that has a CPU / memory, etc., however, the ASUS X205TA does not suffer from overheating problems in my experience. I have run the unit for hours at a time and the unit scarcely becomes warm on the bottom or on the top where my palms rest. The casing behind the LCD is cool and doesn't heat at all unless by some exterior means, such as direct sunlight. I have never had the unit shut down on me, and again, I have had the unit running for 3 or 4 hours at a time without any problem. I hope this helps. Good luck.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have found that it doesn't over heat. I have my own computer repair business and the laptop is always on when i'm in the truck. And has not quit on me yet. And at night's it's off and then the next day it will start up as fine as it can be. Don't have to worry about any fan's on the bottom as well the battery falling out or anything.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have had zero overheating issues, I love it! But the keyboard and wifi have given me fits.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have ran this computer for about three straight hours now, and there is little to no evidence of heat.
