“Is this laptop compatible with the free Windows 10 upgrade on 7/29/15? I know this question has already been asked but I purchased this laptop today and have done every Windows update it is telling me to do. I even went through re-checking for more and more updates until it said there weren't anymore. I have done all the other requirements that the website states is necessary as well but I can't get the icon to show up at the bottom right corner of the screen. Is this laptop compatible with the free Windows 10 upgrade or not?”

Yes it is, I've had it 3 days and only got the Windows 10 icon today, be patient!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, I did the upgrade to mine a couple of days ago and the machine seems to perform better with Windows 10. I did have to go to the ASUS website and download the new trackpad driver to get that working again. I never had the icon show up either so I downloaded an ISO image from the Microsoft website and performed the upgrade that way.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had the same problem at first, till I figured out that Windows 10 will need a lot of memory to download and install, so... I popped in a 64gig micro sd card, and presto.....the knowledge base article 3035583 installed, which in turn installed the icon in the taskbar. It seems that windows is a large download and more when installed. I hope that helps !
