Don't put that Chromebook in the trash. You or someone else can install a Linux operating system, such as Linux Mint, and have a perfectly usable computer again. There are videos online that instruct how to install over Chromebook. Donate or sell it to someone else if you don't want to tackle it yourself. Hope the suggestion inspires you.

From what I gathered/am assuming, you already have a Chromebook (it has issues you're not ok with) but, you have protection you'd like to transfer to a new device and you're wondering if you can, to this one in particular, is that correct?
