When you say "install", do you mean on board or via a usb/usb2 connection? If you want it onboard, your answer is likely no. It's a pain to open laptops for starters and the way the 10s devices are built, their hds are typically built are non stands or online where they can't be swapped. A usb/usb2 connected hd works fine though. That said, a portable HD (unless it's a stick) would be impractical for what this is built for
