- Answer From my understanding the upgrade is free only too windows 8.1 Not windows 8. Although I would do research on windows website for this answer.

QuestionAny problems with overheating?I saw a review online of an older version of this laptop that said due to poor ventilation it did have issues with overheating when pushed (more so than other laptops). Has anyone else experienced the same issues?

- Answer I can only speak for our machine, but no problem. As I'm familiar with electronics, circuit boards, etc, there's always going to be one in the group that's not as it should be. I love it, and I'm an Apple person.
