“The provided RAM is 8gb and the max RAM is 16gb.....Is that 2 8gb chips or 1 16 chip to upgrade removing and swapping an 8gb to one 16gb?...The specs show one slot?...or is that one available since 8gb is provided?”

I got the specifications and also checked with the Geek Squad. This Laptop has only one slot so the 8GB Chip would actually have to be replaced with one that is 16GB, kind of a waste, they should have just provided it with the 16 GB Chip and charged a little bit more.
