computer is black except for the keyboard area; not sure why Asus is emphasizing the trait of "Golden Gradient" in the name; keyboard frame looks more silver than gold to me----still looks very nice, but only slightly gold tinge to it
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.i consider this borderline excellent especially for the price; this is to replace a17" HP Windows 7 AMD CPU (which always ran hot and loud) that i bought refurbished in 2010 for about $500.00; the video chip died on this prior HP; this Asus is about 1/2 the weight of the prior HP; is extremely quiet and generates almost no heat at all; all routine tasks (word processing and internet) have been very smooth and fast; the Hitachi 5400RPM HDD is also very quiet and gets good reviews so that i do not think that upgrading to an SDD would give much improvement to the normal person; battery life has been very good so far; screen size does not seem much smaller from my prior 17"; Windows 10 takes a little getting used to, but you can shut off almost all of the Privacy concerns, and there is a remedy discussed on the internet for almost any feature that you do not like and want to change; the one thing that is a little annoying is that there is no CAPS LOCK indicator, but researching that on the internet also gives some remedies for this issue; overall, highly praiseworthy
