Sure you can run whatever you want on it. If you're familiar with installing OS's on PC's you shouldn't have any trouble, if not I'd suggest you read up on it over the web first. I've also read somewhere (maybe here) that Linux doesn't play nice with the Intel hardware, but you don't know until you try. I would ask Best Buy or Asus if there is a hidden emergency partition to restore to factory settings if needed, but with 10-Home little more than a update from MS now I wouldn't worry about it.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would install VirtualBox and install a Virtual Version of Windows 8 on your Windows 10 machine. This is the same as running Windows 8 without changing your current PCs settings. There are also free versions of VMWare, and this laptop does support virtualization technology. Hope this helps.
