• Yes, I think so. There is a panel on the bottom that looks like you can replace 1 of the RAM chips, but the screw is taped over. I'm not sure if the warranty would be voided by removing the cover, so I haven't opened it. I *think* the 4gb is internal not removable, but 2gb can be replaced, so all you would need is another 4gb stick to replace the 2gb.

• yes laptops can be expanded. normally a cover on the back for the ram area. this one can be upgraded to a max of Maximum memory: 12288MB per manufacture.
