You are going to see people saying that the hardware has failed, but on new devices it is usualy only 5% of them that are bad, and even then it is usualy something fixable like a hard drive. Pieces of the hinges breaking are common in all laptops, because most are cheap plastic, however as long as you aren't too rough with it, they can last for a long time. One of the other things that people were complaining about was the computer locking up often, however, out of the box you should not have that problem, and most problems like that are caused by software like one drive. I would take the risk on the laptop, as all laptops have these problems, and if any problem arises you could always bring it in to best buy under the warranty to fix it.
