No there is no issues with an SSD - they are far faster than a traditional 5400rpm drive. I have been using them for years with out a hint of an issue.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have the Asus ROG 2016 gaming laptop with hybrid 256GB SSD + 1TB HDD, no problems, no complaints. The SSD is loaded with system files which helps reduce Windows 10 start time. As far as any conflicts with gaming, I have not experienced any. This laptop is loaded with Steam, Minecraft, and Roblox. Games played are Overwatch, TF2. Bottom line the Solid State Drive (SSD) is capable of higher read and write speeds due to its nonmechanical moving parts. An SSD is like your thumb drive or memory stick.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The basic benefit is insane speed. The 128GB SSD is mainly used as the boot drive with the 1TB HDD as the data drive. You'll notice that the laptop boots up in seconds (less than 10) and general Windows functions are very snappy. As far as compatibility issues, I've encountered nothing so far nor have I ever heard of a such thing. I have many computer and laptops that have SSDs, HDDs or a combination of both with no compatibility issues whatsoever.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.A SSD drive has much faster read and write speeds than a standard hard drive. When its used to run the OS the computer will boot up and navigate much faster. I have only played a few games but I installed them on the standard hard drive so I cant help with that question. The games I have played are Skyrim and StarCraft. They have worked perfectly. Hope that helps you, if you need more info try Google and YouTube, those are my irreplaceable resources of information haha!
