A:AnswerNo, I have an SSD drive that the programs are run on all data is stored in the cloud. If you use only the Hard Drive that comes with it, then you might have noise as it powers up and runs and when there are large chunks of data that is being read or written to the hard drive. Sorry not to be much help! I will say that this computer is one of the fastest that I have ever seen. I don't think you will go wrong with this purchase. I have been very pleased with its performance.
A:AnswerI've managed to get a high of 7.25, by just watching a video and lowering the screen and keyboard brightness settings a bit. I've also been in a pinch and needed to render a video while a power source was not available, and reached my record low of 1.75 hours. Really it depends on how you are using it, but regardless its very good for a gaming laptop.
A:AnswerIt gets hot, really hot. But listen, your buying a slim and light PC with desktop performance and desktop graphics card that is shoved into a very small and light aluminum laptop that crushes games like a champion. Complaining about heat in this is like complaining about the puddles after the rains finally end the drought. There are larger framed machines out there that may manage heat better, but not at the same amazing weight and thickness. This thing is mind blowing! Pure PC sexieness.
A:AnswerAs an owner of this laptop I could say it would run smoothly,
You have 6GB Video Card to manage that and many other things.
The only thing that I would add to this computer is more SSD memory, but if you are not planning to play multiple games with 128Gb is ok. :)
Regards!
A:AnswerIt is not the greatest, in fact the 15 inch model offers a bit higher accuracy. HOWEVER I use this daily for Design full time, and I've yet to have any issues.
A:AnswerI don't actually use the hct vive, but upon searching through google found a youtube video that shows the hct vive has no compatability problem with this particular computer.
A:AnswerIts got the lettering in a subdued grey color. Its less pronounced than the bright orange ROG logo and stripes on the shell though.
To be honest, I work in the design industry and I get compliments on mine daily. It's got an aggresive look to it, as most gaming laptops do these days, while remaining somewhat more exotic looking than the styling of say an alienware.
A:AnswerAccording to the ROG upgrade guide (https://rog.asus.com/articles/guides/upgrade-guide-rog-strix-gl702/):
"...allows for an NVME M.2 PCIe 3.0 X4 SSD..."
A:AnswerYes, this laptop has the NVIDIA GTX 1060 (laptop) model graphics card inside it, which is only a bit slower than the desktop 1060. It has its own VRam.
A:AnswerI don't know about all these answers. During normal use like browsing the internet or watching netflix it stays cool, but 1 time I've tried playing ARMA 3 and after 10 mins, the laptop got really really REALLY hot. I'm actually thinking of returning the laptop because of how hot it gets while playing. I'm guessing this is the issue with all "gaming" laptops. So i might just stick to a gaming PC and get a laptop for browsing/watching movies. still deciding. good luck with whatever laptop you get.
A:AnswerThis is a red-orange color. With the keyboard lights on it looks red, without it on it looks kind of orange. Based on the question you asked I think you do not know what you are really looking at. To make a legitimate comparison between this and any model you have to provide a model number for comparison. There are so many different versions of the 7577. regarding customer support, ALL computer companies are bad. I personally have only dealt with ASUS customer support. They were great at listening and talking about my issue but the resolving part was non existent. I have this model computer and so far I am fairly impressed. It is not a powerhouse like my G751 with the 980m but for being half the weight and half the price and still able to handle most things with decent response and quality it was enough to get another for my brother. With computers think about what you really want to do and get out of it, what are your standards, what means more price:brand:quality, sometimes people end up realizing if it is just gaming and not portability they are looking for a desktop is often cheaper and can have better components for the same price or slightly more.
