• According to the ROG upgrade guide (https://rog.asus.com/articles/guides/upgrade-guide-rog-strix-gl702/): "...allows for an NVME M.2 PCIe 3.0 X4 SSD..."

• Yes it supports nvme. Im running the new Samsung pro 528gb nvme m2 and getting 1.4 gb transfers.
