• A:Answer Yes, the RAM can be upgraded, but if editing on the road is necessary then look for an alternate laptop with less thermal energy. This laptop needs a lot of ventilation. And, it may run too hot to place on someone's lap.

• A:Answer Yes. I bought a music stand to hold my school books but I tried putting the laptop and it works great. This laptop does not open to a full 180° so your stand can't be completely vertical you would have to tilt it.

• A:Answer I have a Microsoft Surface that has 16 GB of memory and a 1 TB SSD drive. Very fast and very quite. I would talk to the Best Buy Geek Squad for their suggestions on what Ram you could use to update. The updates you want will be much improvement to the laptop but be prepared for it to be a bit expensive.

• A:Answer I have this issue sometimes. It has nothing to do with the hardware. Asus drivers can be sketchy in my experience when it comes to touchpads. Being a gaming laptop, it is assumed you would be using an actual mouse. That would be my guess as to why they didn't put a lot of effort into the software of the touchpad.

• A:Answer All graphics are powered by the 1060 video card, the Intel integrated graphics have been disabled. If you do run an external monitor and plan to game, make sur eyou keep the lid open for optimal cooling, otherwise the lid will prevent the heat escaping from the front of the laptop/above the keys, and you'll notice performance hits.

• A:Answer I'm not sure but if your laptop wasn't plugged in to wall power? I am not sure if the graphics card can run at its peak for too long so it uses less power and underperforms. If you were messing around with settings that might have affected it as well.

• A:Answer Not sure what program you are using to pay videos, but there was one thing that I had to set when I updated Windows. For some reason Windows 10 the latest version turns off adobe flash player. You will have to go back into Settings, then Advance Settings and then scroll down and turn on Adobe Flash Player if using the Edge Browser. If using Chrome you will need to go to Settings, then Advance Settings, then privacy, then Content Settings, then scroll down and make sure that java script is running and Adobe Flash is running. This should help if running videos through web browser.
