• As long as you are working on the keyboard, it will stay illuminated. A period of inactivity will turn off the illumination until the keyboard is accessed. Being a battery operated device, this makes sense for longevity of power

• Check to see if you have adjusted the keyboard brightness by clicking fn+14 to adjust the brightness up.

• there is a function key combo that turns it on and off. it is off to save power by default.

• its in your setting ...also install the latest patches...it fixes that

• That appears to be an anomaly, my red keyboard light works full-time.

• When you have touch the computer for a period of time the backlight turns off just move the mouse and it will turn back on.
