• The open slot on this notebook can support up to 8 GB.

• It's a real pain to take the laptop apart but the Kingston ValueRAM 8GB 2400Mhz DDR4 Non-ECC CL17 SODIMM Single Rank SO-DIMM works just fine in the underside SO-DIMM socket. A 16GB DIMM with matching specs might work too, but I'd only recommend adding 8GB because that will allow the memory to operate in dual channel mode. I saw a pretty significant performance improvement after upgrading.

• Max is 16 gb total. you can add 8gb. Besides 24 gb won't be much better than 16 gb for the cost. May as well buy a better laptop.
