Yes it does a have back light on the keyboard. You use the fn key and f3 to lower the light or fn and f4 to raise the light.

Yes, it does have a backlit keyboard... however, I have found that it doesn't really help much, maybe it's the angle I hold the laptop at, but I have a hard time seeing the keys even with the backlight on, so I just end up with it off.
