I'll expand by saying that I've never had a heat issue with this guy, and usually I burn through laptops, literally in 6 months (constant use, video editing/photoshop/gaming, ev3ntual electron migration and inevitable, increasing performance degradation). The thing barely gets warm during my most demanding and protracted tasks, while previous machines have made "lap top" use impossible without asbestos thigh padding. That said, it may be that the internals are still getting fire apple hot and the heat management is only effectively cooling the exterior; I'll find out in another couple months. But even so it's great to not have to air condition my Minneapolis office in December after 3hours in Premiere Pro, and given other improvements I'll give Asus the benefit of the doubt on this one too.
