Owners of the more recent Asus models have complained about inadvertent shut downs due to location of power button. Is the button on this model at least recessed to some degree to prevent such mistaken power downs/sleep mode? null

The buttons are extremely hard to press and I can't turn it off when I try sometimes. You can change what the power button does in the settings. It's located on the side of the laptop.

I have not had any issues with inadvertently turning off the laptop. The power button is located on the right side near the front. It does not stand out too much.

The button is not recessed, but must be pushed in a good distance for it to activate. In my opinion, inadvertent shutdowns are unlikely with this model.

The power button is located on the right hand side of the laptop but I haven't pressed it accidentally a single time. The button isn't the easiest thing to press so you really have to try to click it.
