A:Answer Open box can mean many things and can apply to the following situations:
1: The item was opened in the store and was not purchased or used (best case scenario)
2: The item was returned (usually returned because it was not what the purchaser wanted, but can be for other things; customer service can usually find the reason why it was returned, from my experience).
3: The item was used as a floor model (could be the best or worst scenario - a computer may have damage, wear and tear, and may not last as long, a TV will have been on constantly while on the floor, so it may not last as long, but that depends on how long it was on the floor, etc.).
The best way to know what you're getting is to ask why it was open box. Then follow up with questions of why it was returned, or how long it was used as a floor model. And remember, a lot of electronics eventually break. Laptops, printers, TVs, even headphones have a lifespan. Keep that in mind when purchasing floor models, especially.
I am unsure of what you mean by international warranty. The manufacturer's warranty may be affected, however, you can always purchase an extended warranty or a Protection Plan from Best Buy, which I would recommend anyways. I am not sure if the Best Buy Protection Plans are international. The best thing you can do is ask customer service.
