Q: QuestionI purchased this Asus computer and having trouble when turning the computer on. The light shows that its been turned on but the computer screen is black. What is going on?

• A:Answer I've had this happen a couple times. If you have it in sleep mode, it'll boot right up. However, if you shut it down, you may need to press the power button a couple times in a row in order to get it to boot. If it doesn't respond to that, call Asus's customer support at http://www.asus.com/us/support/ and go from there.

Q: QuestionDoes this feature Windows Hello and does it have Ice-cool design to keep the palm rest from becoming hot like the Asus Q553UB model with DVD drive?

• A:Answer In my experience with heavy gaming on the larop the palm rest does not become hot its made of aluminum and disapates heat very quickly

Q: QuestionI have two questions. First, does this computer have the ICEcool Palm rest like the Asus 2-in-1 Q553UB (the 15.6 in i7 12 GB 2TB with DVD drive)? Second, someone mentioned that it goes from on to face recognition, does it have Windows Hello?

• A:Answer Hello, I had the same issue when I first tried using my asus. I found that I had to find the app by looking through the apps from the Windows menu. I had to enter my product key into the already installed version of Office, rather than download Office.

• A:Answer Depending on how long you have had it, I would recommend taking it back and exchanging it. When something like that happens, especially if it is fairly new, that should not happen and they should be able to exchange it. If it has already happened this early, there's not telling what else could happen to it in the future. Hope this helps!

Q: QuestionHow can I extend the battery life? Can i turn off the hhd? or get rid of the hhd? Or is the battery replaceable? Or upgradeable?

• A:Answer Battery life can be extended by reducing the brightness of the display and reducing the amount of background applications that are running (I would only recommend the latter if you know what you're doing). De-fragmenting the hard drives should be automatically set to happen on a regular basis, but if not, I would recommend doing it once a month to three months depending on how much you use your computer. This will increase battery life because it works less to get the information you're trying to use. I would not recommend turning off the hdd because the two drives work in-tandem. The computer battery can be replaced. It comes with a 4 cell battery, however you can replace ti with an 8 call by purchasing it here: http://store.asus.com/us/item/201605AM250000039/A47376-ASUS+07G016HH1875+8-Cell+Battery+for+G53%2C+G73%2C+VX7 However, an 8 cell battery has the drawback of poking out the back of the computer and may get in the way of the 2-in-1 functionality (as a tablet or viewer).

Q: QuestionI bought this computer and its amazing but I noticed when I flip it it doesn't go into tablet mode and the kyboard does not deactivate. Does anyone have this issue? Also, it does the same thing with the tablet mode turned on.

• A:Answer The data storage defaults to the SSD memory. You can change this default location for storage of non application data or simply move it once saved from SSD to the 2 Terabyte hardrive.

• A:Answer Battery is sealed in like all modern laptops now. However if you plan on using this a few years the battery can be replaced with a new one, but you'd likely need to have Asus do it. I ended up getting the 3 yr Best Buy "Geek Squad" warranty & one of the things included is one battery replacement.

• A:Answer FN + F3 to dim the backlit lights for the keyboard FN + F4 to brighten the backlit lights for the keyboard Both the F3 and F4 keys have a little keyboard screenprinted on them to help you remember this.
