Does not appear that charging is possible with the port. However, as many manufactures have done you may need a specific USB-C Charger. HP requires this as well as Dell and a handful of other brands. I tried my Macbook Pro charger and it did not charge, however.

Please try again later.I don't know specially about this model but most manufacturers only enable the charging via usb-c on models that fall within the limited amount of power that can be provided over usb-c. Anything over about 65 watts needs a special connector anyway and since you would need more than that to run the 1050 without going backwards on your battery while plugged in they just went with a separate higher power ac adapter.
