The ventilation is average. It will get somewhat hot playing most med-high end games, but the fan is great and it should easily handle it. For light gaming, the fan might kick in a little but it will NOT get hot. I have used Wings 3D, a 3d modeling program, and my notebook did not get hot at all. For more intensive usage and graphics it probably will get hotter.
