There is a model of this computer that has an additional 500GB ssd, along with 16gig RAM. I have that model and it was only $1299.00. The sales person at the store said that it was possible to upgrade, but it would be very difficult. I checked and he seemed to be truthful. It appears that many computer companies are making it more difficult to upgrade their systems, especially the 2-1 styles. It was cheaper and easier to just opt for the more expensive model.
